How to Use Sage in your space

A variety of sage can be found throughout our store. We have the most commonly used form, known as sage smudge sticks. These bundles are made from natural sage herbs. We also feature smudge bundles from North Moon Herbals (these typically feature a variety of herbs with some including sage).

Another sage product that can be found in store is sage spray, created by Wolf Spirit Sage. This spray, made with the oils of Sage, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Leaf, Juniper Berry and Geranium, can be used to purify or cleanse your space. This is a great product for those who may prefer a smoke-free cleanse or sage on the go.

Whether you prefer to spray or smudge, we have you covered!

Cleansing Negative Energy

Smudging your space is a great way to remove negative energy. By doing so, you’re clearing out the space and making room for new beginnings and positive light. There’s no wrong way to do this, but here are a few tips for success!

Sage Smudge Sticks

When using smudge sticks, you’ll need to ignite one end of the stick with a match or lighter. A little bit of smoke goes a long way with this! After you have a steady stream of smoke going, you’ll want to move slowly throughout your space with the stick, taking more time in each corner of the room and moving clockwise. One you’ve covered the entire room, we recommend opening a window and sending this energy out. Some prefer to open all of the windows in their home. We typically say ‘Go to God’s Light,’ but you can choose which mantra works best for you! After completing your smudging routine, wait for the smoke to stop and find a safe way to store your smudge stick. We recommend using an air tight container away from direct sunlight.

Sage Spray

Similar to smudge sticks, there’s no wrong way to use your sage spray. OurWolf Spirit Blessed Sage Sprays contain a variety of essential oils with a relaxing scent and many benefits. It can be used to cleanse your space by spraying the entire room, similar to a smudge stick method, or used as a pick-me-up whenever you need a refresher. Many people use this spray on their linens, pillows, and throughout their space. Available in Palo Santo, another cleansing element, and Blessed Sage.
